I’m one of those people who always ignored the iPhone weekly screen time notification… you know that notification that tells you how much time you spent doing what. Yea, so in this post I decided to go into that setting and see what else there is to it, apart from the social media apps which really are a no brainer.

Seems like everything I get up to is color coded and classified as, games, social networking, creativity and other. From these categories I get to see my most used apps.

1. Podcasts App

Not surprised by this one because as much as I watch YouTube content, I listen to podcasts more. What I listen to varies with what time of day it is, in the mornings I like to listen to the 4 points podcast with Dr Cindy Trimm. Throughout the day I listen to anything from Oprah’s Supersoul Conversations to The BossBabe podcast by Natalie Ellis and Danielle Canty.

Some proudly South African podcasts I listen to are Mashstartup Podcast hosted by Mashudu Modau, Making SMEs matter with Marnus Broodryk and Podcast and Chill with MacG.

2. My home – Design Dreams

I downloaded this game after I was encouraged to get a game on my phone to play when I need a break from social media. Then saw a sponsored post on Instagram and followed the link for the download and as they say, the rest is history. This must be my favorite game of all time, perhaps because I once had an interest in becoming an interior designer. Currently I’m on level 1481 waiting for the latest update with new levels. That’s how much I enjoyed the game.

3. Forever Fit App

Over winter, this app was like my “drink water reminder” app. Now that it’s getting warmer, I found myself just exploring the app for the Fitness exercises and recipes I could try out. Stay tuned to my blog to read the full review of this app for now what I can tell you is that this app is your best accountability partner if you are considering taking part in the Clean9, F15 or Vital5 programmes.
